FREE STAMP COLLECTION APPRAISALS
Bring your collection to a club meeting to have one of our long-time collectors or professional stamp dealers provide an estimated value of what you have.
SILENT AUCTION
We have approximately 50 stamps on silent auction at each meeting. All items start below $5. Come to a club meeting to see the items up for auction. Auction items are provided by our club members. In order to buy or sell in our Silent Auction you must become a member.
LIVE AUCTION
We auction off around 100 stamps in a live auction setting with bid cards each club meeting. Items range from $5 and up, with a couple premium items going over $100. Find great deals, typically better than you’d find on online bid sites like eBay. Grab a bidder number and join in the fun! In order to buy or sell in our Live Auction you must become a member.
STAMP SHOW
Our big event every year is the Fresno Stamp Show (formally FRESPEX). This is the premier regular philatelic exhibition of the San Joaquin Valley and is the highlight of the philatelic year in the Fresno area.
MEMBERSHIP
Join the Fresno Philatelic Society for only $20 per year! Membership allows you to participate in buying and selling in our club auctions. All proceeds go to the club and allow us to pay for our venue to hold our meetings, and to fund our annual stamp show.
Other Stamp Club Activities
Selling, swapping and buying: Club members have a chance to conduct their own exchange of material. Some “set up shop” with an exclusive collection. Others have only a few stamps to offer. There are always people willing to assist you in the building of your collection.
Talking, chatting, etc.: One of the true assets of our club is the vast collective knowledge of its members. Conversation with other collectors can help you gain a tremendous education about stamp collecting. Just plain socializing can be satisfying too.
Monthly Mailing: Every month, a mailing is sent to all members. The mailing includes the monthly minutes, FPS Notes, and lists of both Trader’s Board and Trader’s Corner lots. Members with valid email addresses will receive their copy via email unless they request that it be mailed via USPS.
Meeting Dates & Location
We meet each month on the second Sunday of each month at 1:30pm-3:30pm.
